WE EAGERLY awaited for the release of iOS 4 and some of us who are iPhone 3G users were really disappointed that we are getting the short end of the stick.
Almost all the fancy new features, such as multitasking, introduced with the iOS 4 would not be available on the the iPhone 3G.
At least we were hoping that the background wallpaper would make it - but it didn't.
So, iPhone 3G users would have to live with a black background until they upgrade to the new iPhone.
Jobs says the iPhone 3G can't display a background wallpaper due to performance issues.
According to Gizmodo (bit.ly/dkSe8V), a user wrote to Steve Jobs to find out why the feature was missing on the iPhone 3G and this is what Jobs had to say: The icon animation with backgrounds didn't perform well enough.
At least iPhone 3G users can look forward to features such as the ability to create folders, tag photos and digital zoom for the camera.
