No more WiFi deadspots

NETGEAR says its Universal Dual Band WiFi Range Extender WN2500RP improves WiFi coverage and eliminates deadspots.

The device will work with any router or gateway that uses the 802.11 standard. The Range Extender supports two bands - 2.4GHz and 5GHz - and it will automatically switch bands when one gets too crowded.

The device is easy to set up too. A push of the button is all it takes for it to configure itself automatically without any need for a driver disc or an Ethernet cable.

Users can check out the built-in LED display for real-time network connection status. The LED lights are also handy for finding the best location for the device.

The Range Extender also features FastLane Technology which will use a single band at maximum bandwidth to smoothly stream HD videos or play online games.

The device also offers four wired-to-WiFi connections which allows devices such as an Ethernet-enabled

Blu-ray player, gaming console and Smart TV to connect to the wireless network.

The wireless network can be secured using WPA, WPA2 or WEP encryption key.

The Range Extender retails for RM242.
