BLENDING IN: Crysis 3 will combine wild natural environments with New York's towering structures and is targeting a spring 2013 release.
Blending scenarios from the series' two previous expeditions, Crysis 3 combines wild natural environments with New York's towering structures and is targeting a spring 2013 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation3.
Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Crytek are hyping their game's new New York location as "a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers."
That's what happens when an evil organisation erects a Nanodome over your city in order to claim it as their own.
It doesn't help that the overgrown Liberty Dome is now a playpen for the series' heavily armed, squid-like alien invaders, as well as human enemies, and Crysis's returning super soldier and anti-terrorist veteran, Laurence 'Prophet' Barnes.
Fortunately, Barnes is once again equipped with the very latest and greatest in Nanosuit technology, with access to a lethal composite bow and alien technology to aid him in his quest to become "the deadliest hunter on the planet."
Though Crysis 3 may share its decaying city motif with others - see Enslaved and the Uncharted studio's upcoming The Last Of Us - at first glance its real focus appears to be elsewhere: Merging Predator 1 and Predator 2 with the latest in graphical spectacle and online multiplayer fragfests. - Relaxnews 2012
