What is the F-Secure Response Lab?

COMPREHENSIVE TOUR: F-Secure security advisor for Asia Goh Su Gim showing off the radio-frequency shielded lab which is used to test wireless viruses and malware in the video.

ANTIVIRUS, computer security and software company F-Secure established a presence in Malaysia in September 2006, making Kuala Lumpur the hub for its regional operations which now has a staff count of more than 200.

The response lab shares responsibilities with the company's headquarters in Helsinki, Finland, providing global security response services for the detection and removal of viruses. It also tracks and analyses malware, spyware, rootkit, and phishing scams, as well as all types of cyberattacks.

F-Secure's lab here is also equipped to analyse mobile viruses in a safe radio frequency-shielded room to prevent viruses that are targeted at wireless-connectivity devices from escaping.

Bytz was granted an exclusive tour of the facility; check out the video here or here.
