GAMERS rejoice, for Dell has updated its 14in and 17in Alienware gaming laptops with the latest hardware components.
The M14x, the 14in (1,600 x 900-pixels) gaming laptop, features the latest 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3610QM 2.3GHz processor, up to 16GB RAM, a 1TB hard disk, 1.3-megapixel HD camera with dual digital microphones, a slot loading DVD drive and two USB 3.0 ports, along with the usual HDMI, mini-Display Port and gigabit Ethernet ports.
Users can configure the M14x with either a 1GB nVidia GeForce GT 650M graphics card or a 2GB version of the same GPU.
According to Dell, this is the first time the Alienware model is offering such an advanced GPU in the 14in form factor.
The M17x, on the other hand, comes with a 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3820QM 2.7GHz processor, 1,920 x 1080-pixel resolution, 8GB RAM (configurable up to 32GB), dual 1TB hard disks, 2.1-megapixel full HD webcam, 2.1 speaker system with subwoofer, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and gigabit Ethernet.
The M17x's standard GPU is the 2GB nVidia GeForce GT 660M, but purchasers can optionally go for the 2GB nVidia GeForce GT 675M or the 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 7970M GPUs.
Prices start at RM4,899 for the M14x and RM7,799 for the M17X.
