AFTER waiting what seems like an eternity, Diablo 3 fans finally got their chance to continue their crusade against the forces of darkness in the latest installment to the popular CRPG game.
We hopped over to Gamer's Hideout in Tropicana City Mall at 3pm today and there were already a long line of gamers waiting outside the store.
It is on sale for RM218 - that's a little pricey for PC games but that has not stopped die hard fans from getting the game on launch day.
Gamer's Hideout co-owner Eddy Yap said he has received over 400 preorders and expects more orders in the coming weeks.
Surprisingly, there were quite a number of people waiting in line on a working day. A quick check revealed that some were students while others have taken time off work to buy the game on launch day.
Diablo 3 requires a constant Internet connection as the game has to log in to Blizzard's servers even when playing solo.
However, some gamers may have to wait a little while longer to play the game as feeds on Blizzard's official Twitter channel shows that some are experiencing difficulty logging in due to high traffic.
