KUALA LUMPUR: It is not often that you buy a new cellphone and also walk away with the keys to a brand new car. That was exactly what happened to five lucky Samsung customers.
They each won a Perodua MyVi 1.5l in Samsung's 45 Days Giveaway competition. They were eligible to participate in the contest after buying products made by the South Korean manufacturer.
For one winner, Syed Mohd Zulkharnain Syed Ahmad from Ipoh, it was a single purchase of a Corby II smartphone that earned him the car. "I look forward to upgrading to a higher-spec phone in the future," he said.
Also, 45 consolation winners took home a 32in Samsung LED TV each, in the competition that ran from March 17 to April 30.
