NIKON Malaysia recently pulled the covers off the D3200, the company's latest entry-level DSLR that features a whole host of new features over the D3100.
With the D3200, Nikon has upped the resolution to a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, up from the 14-megapixel image sensor of the D3100.
The D3200 also features a 3in, 920,000-dot LCD screen, a new Expeed 3 image processing engine, ISO settings from 100 - 6400, and an 11-point autofocus system with up to four-frames-per-second continuous shooting speed.
For novices, Nikon has a new enhanced Guide Mode to walk users through the settings to achieve specific effects and results.
Of course, there's a Live View mode, and the camera also shoots videos at up to 1,920 x 1,080-pixels at up to 30-frames-per-second. There's even an input for an external microphone to improve audio capture quality.
What's really interesting about the D3200, however, is that it can accept a relatively cheap WU-1A wireless adapter which connects to Tablets and smartphones (running either Android or iOS) via WiFi to transfer images.
The Tablet or smartphone can also be used as a live view monitor and can even be used to trip the shutter remotely.
Local availability is expected to be in early June. The price has yet to be anounced.
