Wave of blue at Galaxy S III launch

Samsung says the Galaxy S III is designed to be both effortlessly smart and intuitively simple, and it has been created with human needs and capabilities in mind.

PETALING JAYA: Many lucky buyers who dressed in blue at Celcom Axiata Bhd's Samsung Galaxy S III launch got the much-awaited Android smartphone for a bargain price of RM888.

The 8-megapixel camera has zero lag shutter speed (less than one second between shots) that enables it to shoot moving objects with ease.

There were also RM1,000 discount for the smartphone, rebates off package prices and free concert tickets up for grabs.

Celcom offered a range of attractive plans to purchase the Galaxy S III which sports a 4.8in Super AMOLED HD screen (720 x 1,280-pixels, 306ppi), an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front facing camera.

Other highlights include an Exynos 4 Quad 1.4GHz quad-core processor, a larger 2,100mAh battery, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, Android Ice Cream Sandwich and a mind-boggling host of features to enhance smartphone usability.

The launch took place on May 31 at the South Court of Mid Valley Megamall in the Klang Valley, Sutera Mall in Johor Bharu, and Aeon Station 18 in Ipoh, Perak.
