KUALA LUMPUR: Creative Advances Technology Sdn Bhd (CAT) has launched the Hotel Allotment System (HAS) for its SOTA (Smart Online Travel Assistant) online travel platform.
With HAS, hoteliers can manage their sales distribution channels by having access to room inventory, rates, sales channels and online bookings, including connecting to all their travel agents and consumers through one online system.
Before HAS, hoteliers would need to go through multiple systems or use third parties to manage room inventory and online bookings which required plenty manpower, time and cost.
According to Rohizam Md Yusoff, chief executive officer of CAT, HAS also enables hoteliers to obtain higher yield margins by reducing high commission fees when using multiple third-party systems.
This is possible because HAS integrates all this in one place and the only charge is a flat rate on a pay-per-use basis, which means that whether one room or 25 rooms are booked at one time, only US$2 (RM6) is charged.
SOTA, of which HAS is a component of, is an online travel platform that caters to both travel businesses and travellers, where travel operators publish their products and services, and where consumers can find and plan their travel packages.
