PACKET One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (P1) is known for its offbeat marketing campaigns and the launch of its latest service was no different.
A "group of small and medium business owners" staged a mock demonstration in front of the telco's office to demand a more affordable fibre optics high-speed broadband service for their businesses.
They got their wish when the telco announced the launch of its ForBiz Fiber service for small office, home office (SOHO) setups for as low as RM99 a month.
The service empowers small outfits to be just as competitive as their larger counterparts by leveraging on the fast growing trend of digital advertising, cloud services and mobile applications to expand their businesses," said Michael Lai, its chief executive officer.
Four packages are available - ForBiz Fiber 149, Fiber 229, Fiber 329 and Fiber 429 to suit different needs.
The number denotes the monthly subscription of each plan.
However, for a limited time, P1 has reduced the subscription fees for the Fiber 149 and Fiber 329 plan to only RM99 and RM199 respectively.
The company has also waived the RM200 installation fees for all the packages during the promotional period.
Users will be able to connect at speeds of up to 5Mbps (Fiber 149), 10Mbps (Fiber 229), 20Mbps (Fiber 329) and 30Mbps (Fiber 429) and there will be no data cap.
Each package also comes with a voice plan that costs 15sen per minute for making calls to any fixed and mobile numbers nationwide.
The plans also come with an analogue phone and a wireless modem.
To enjoy the P1 ForBiz Fiber service users will have to commit to a 24-month contract.
