PETALING JAYA: HTC Malaysia has announced its first of many Android smartphones for the year - the Butterfly.
Featuring a 5in full HD (1,080p) display that's scratch-resistant, the Butterfly looks set to impress Android users searching for a large-screen device.
It runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and has a fast 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, making the phone well equipped to handle multi-tasking operations.
HTC claims the Butterfly's 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.2-megapixel front-facing camera are great for snapshots and video calls.
Users can also pump up the volume with the Butterfly's built-in amplifier with Beats Audio to enjoy high-definition sound while on the go.
Other features include 16GB of internal storage, an expansion card slot to expand storage up to the maximum 32GB, and an embedded 2,020mAh battery.
The Butterfly is available here for RM2,299.
